Combustion Technician – Industrial Manufacturing
We are seeking an experienced Combustion Technician to oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of combustion systems, including furnaces and auxiliary heating equipment, in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills and a background in industrial furnaces, burners, and fuel systems.
Overtime and double-time eligible! Excellent benefits program.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize combustion systems for maximum efficiency and uptime
- Lead troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on burners, controls, and gas trains
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA standards
- Support process improvements and energy-saving initiatives
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience with industrial combustion systems (steel or heavy manufacturing preferred)
- Strong knowledge of natural gas, combustion controls, and emissions monitoring
- Leadership and team training experience a plus
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background preferred
