Assistant Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, retail, hospitality, or quick-service management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees
- Understanding of customer service and operational excellence
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Assistant Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and training team members
- Comfortable analyzing restaurant performance metrics
Assistant Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Assist in leading daily restaurant operations and team performance
- Develop, coach, and motivate crew members and shift managers
- Ensure top-quality guest service and professionally resolve guest concerns
- Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and adherence to operational standards
- Support staffing, scheduling, and team development initiatives
- Track labor, inventory, food costs, and support cash controls to maintain profitability
- Oversee opening and closing procedures and maintain security standards
- Step in for the General Manager as needed, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
