Executive Sous Chef

We're looking for an experienced culinary leader who enjoys working in a high-volume, chef-driven environment and knows how to lead a team while maintaining strong standards for food quality and service. Responsibilities
- Partner with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations
- Lead, coach, and develop BOH managers and culinary team members
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution
- Manage food and labor costs while supporting overall profitability
- Oversee ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Maintain high standards for food safety and sanitation
- Build a positive, accountable, and team-focused kitchen culture
- Take responsibility for kitchen operations in the Executive Chef's absence
Requirements
- 2+ years of Executive Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef experience
- High-volume restaurant experience; $5M+ annual volume preferred
- Proven leadership and team-development skills
- Experience with scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and cost controls
- Strong scratch-kitchen background
- Ability to remain organized and effective in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on leadership style
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to lead and develop a BOH team
- Comfortable working closely with the Executive Chef and restaurant leadership
- Strong understanding of food and labor costs
- Ability to maintain consistency during high-volume service
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for hospitality and culinary excellence
